William Mei

National Compliance Officer

William Mei serves his second term as National Compliance Officer from 2015 to 2017. He has been a member of the Houston Lodge since 1995, and was its Past President from 1999-2000, serving in two millenniums. Afterward, he served at the national level as National Representative, National Executive and Compliance Officer from 2001 to present.

William is an electrical engineering graduate with over 40 years experience working in the natural gas transmission industry, engineering and designing pipeline facilities to transport gas from the well to the market. He is a Registered Professional Engineer. Recently retired, he continues his membership in the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to help advance the profession and provide mentorship to students and new engineers starting in the industry.

In Houston, William is a member of the Chinese Professional Club, which supports and rewards academic and professional achievement at its annual scholarship gala. He enjoys his retirement time spent with family, friends and five grandkids.
